UPDATED: Nigerian students won’t write 2020 WAEC – FG By Bolaji Ogundele, Abuja The Federal Ministry of Education has said Nigerian secondary final year students will not be participating in the upcoming West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations. The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who disclosed this to State House Correspondents on Wednesday after the seventh weekly virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, also said there is no date for resumption of schools in the country yet. He said he would prefer that Nigerian students lose an academic year than to expose them to dangers, appealing to state governments that had announced reopening of schools to reconsider their decision for the sake of the students’ safety. Instagram comedianne, Taaooma passes out from NYSC (Photos) Nigeria’s fast-rising Instagram comic sensation, Maryam Apaokagi popularly known as  Taaooma , has passed out from  NYSC . The 21 year-old is among 2019 Batch ‘B’ stream two Corps Members who successfully completed their service yesterday, July 16th. Sharing photos from her POP on Instagram, she wrote; “ Alhamdulilah!!! I can’t thank God enough, God bless  Taaoma who was born in Ilorin but spent most of her years growing up in Namibia. Breaking news: private school teachers to protest on Monday over non-payment, school closure

OG MEDIA Following the notice of the proposed nationwide protest by the National Association of Private Schools Teacher issued on Thursday July 9, 2020, the self acclaimed association national chairman has called on all the private schools teachers to come out en masse in all the states of the federation for the protest. Due to the indefinite closure of schools as a result of the covid19 pandemic, many private schools have not been able to pay their workers salaries for the last three months.
