UPDATED: Nigerian students won’t write 2020 WAEC – FG By Bolaji Ogundele, Abuja The Federal Ministry of Education has said Nigerian secondary final year students will not be participating in the upcoming West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations. Federal government has ordered school owners to submit their protocols before July 29 as plans are being made to reopen schools. The minister of education is making consultation with other WAEC countries to see if they can reach agreement and tell WAEC to shift exam date to enable Nigeria students partake. Federal government is planning to reopen school before month end. Children writing exams may go first and others follow on a later date. Start organizing and cleaning school environment. All schools must be properly arranged and decontaminated before 29th of July ---FG. National association of Nigeria students (NANS) kick against school closure. This is to offer financial backup for creative youths.
